Whether you are throwing a Pac-Man themed party or just looking for a fun fruity and colorful drink, this Pac-Man cocktail will deliver the goods and score some points with your guests.
Not quite a Margarita, and not quite a Mai Tai…this cocktail blends the best of both into one delicious drink. It is well-balanced with elements of sweet and tart, and the tequila adds a hint of smokiness…making this a must-try libation!
Why I love this cocktail:
Eye Candy. Visually this is a stunning drink to behold. The serene blue hue fades into the clear bubbles like a tropical lagoon. And the Cherry on top adds an unexpected visual delight with a cherry fruit bonus reference.
Gummy Candy. Who doesn’t love an edible garnish? If you raised your hand, then you can see yourself out. Everyone else: enjoy the treat!
Refreshing. The added bubbles mixed with the sweet Orgeat and tart lime make this a balanced and refreshing cocktail that can be enjoyed all summer long.
Ingredients needed for the High Score Sips Pac-Man Cocktail:
- Tequila Blanco. My go-to is Espolòn Tequila Blanco, and I highly recommend it.
- Blue Curaçao. If you can’t find this, you can also use Orange Curaçao and add blue food coloring.
- Orgeat. (Pronounced “or-zhaat”) This is a sweet almond syrup. Fee Brothers Orgeat is a great option if you are on a budget, and Liber & Co. and BG Reynolds are great options for a more robust flavor.
- Lime Juice. Fresh squeezed is preferred for this cocktail. Don’t skimp.
- Soda Water. This adds the bubbles and refreshing balance to the drink.
- Gummy Cherry Garnish. Separate the two cherries with a a knife.
Tools you will need for the Pac-Man Cocktail:
- Measuring Jigger. This copper jigger from Cocktail Kingdom is my favorite.
- Cocktail Shaker. A good quality shaker is a staple for any bar. My new favorite cocktail shaker is the YETI Rambler. With the strainer built right in there is no need for extra tools, and the seal on this shaker is phenomenal. No messes! I highly recommend it.
- A Highball Glass. I use these highball glasses for parties as they are sturdy and I don’t have to worry about breakage.
- A stir stick. I commissioned the custom Pac-man stir sticks from Haven Print Company on Etsy.
