About Me
Hi, I’m Jessica—the hands (and heart) behind Brass Pine. I’ve always been a creative with a soft spot for the old-fashioned (and I don’t just mean the drink). I earned a degree in Interior Design, and work full time as a lighting designer, so creating ambiance is kind of my thing.
I’m also a self-taught baker and mixologist with two decades of trial, error, and a few too many taste tests under my belt. Hosting and creating celebrations has always been second nature—just another canvas for my design skills, love of good food, and need to make celebrations and holidays feel special.
I’m a mom of two and wife to one patient man who’s learned not to question why the dining room table is covered in party décor 10 months out of the year. I am a firm believer that homemade beats store-bought (unless it’s croissants—let’s be reasonable). I live in the moment, plan for the future, and take my celebrations seriously… but never myself.
A Few Things I Believe In
- It’s what’s inside that counts. Looking pretty is just a bonus. (Applies to food and people.)
- Thrifting isn’t a trend, it’s a disease…and I’ve got a chronic case.
- A well-made cocktail is practically a love language.
- The best parties look effortless… even if you lost your mind planning them.
- Resourcefulness > perfection
- Small towns, four seasons, and handwritten thank-you notes—because some things shouldn’t change.

Made by Hand, Not AI
In a world that feels more digital by the day, I believe it’s important to hold onto what’s genuine—especially at home. At Brass Pine, you’ll only find real recipes, real photos, and real results. Every recipe here has been tried, tested, and photographed by me—sometimes beautifully, sometimes imperfectly (because that’s life). Imperfection is proof of the process, and it’s what makes food and gatherings feel authentic. While AI has its place, it doesn’t belong in my kitchen or behind my camera. You deserve to see what a recipe actually looks like when made by hand and how entertaining spaces really come together.
